WiFi a danger to our kids?
WiFi is enabling communication between wireless devices such as laptops, tablets, phones, smart TVs, smartwatches, smart home gadgets, and more. It is using radio-frequency electromagnetic fields.
In 2011, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (from of the World Health Organization), classified the radiofrequency electromagnetic fields as Possibly carcinogenic to humans (group 2B).
In 2015 France banned the WiFi in nursery schools and added many other related regulations.
In 2018 an article from Daily Mail presented a top cancer expert (Prof Anthony Miller from Toronto University) who sustained this decision and recommended to eliminate WiFi from schools.
The debate is still ongoing, but better to be safe than sorry…
We limited our family’s exposure to WiFi by automatically turning off our router at certain hours during the day and the night.
We placed our router in a corner of our house, far from any of our activities (a corner filled mostly with plants).
My son has an Android tablet and an Android phone, both packed with games carefully selected for his age. His tablet is in “airplane mode”, which means no WiFi signal is coming from it.
20 Free Games to play without WiFi or data plan
Below is a list of 20 free games I carefully selected for the children under the age of 6. Each game has a link for the Android devices and some have also a link for the Apple devices.
All the details were valid as of the end of July 2020. Changes might occur after.
Some games are offering the free full version; others are offering just free modules of the application. In any case, there is no pressure to buy anything.
