I carefully choose the personal care products for my family, trying to avoid exposure to dangerous chemicals. As much as possible I choose products with natural ingredients.
Before buying each skin product I search the EWG Skin Deep site. The lower it is on the scale (from 1 to 10) the better it is (less suspected hazards).
If you are looking for more information about the evaluation criteria visit the About section of their website.
Currently, my son is using two natural products from Burt’s Bees Baby line: he is using daily the Calming Shampoo and Wash for his shower and weekly the Bubble Bath for the bath time (see the image).
The Calming Shampoo and Wash has a rating of 1 from 10 and the Bubble Bath has a rating of 3 from 10 (as of August 2020).
He is not a baby anymore, but he still enjoys those products that are great for the sensitive regions of his skin. Plus, getting soap in his eyes while washing his hair is still is a concern, so a tear-free shampoo is welcome.
According to the manufacturer website (information collected as of August 2020), the Burt’s Bees Baby Calming Shampoo and Wash is “98.9% natural” and “contains no parabens or phthalates”.

You can buy online a pack of 3 bottles of Calming Burt’s Bees Baby Shampoo & Wash that are sold directly by the manufacturer.
They offer a version that come with a pump: Burt’s Bees Baby Shampoo & Wash, Original, 21 Ounces (Pack of 3). I use it before when my son was a toddler. It was a great way to save money on soap 😊.
For the babies, I do recommend the fragrance-free version: Burt’s Bees Baby Shampoo & Wash, Fragrance Free, 12 Ounces (Pack of 3) that is “99.9% natural” and with “no phthalates, parabens, petrolatum, or “SLS” (information collected as of August 2020).
The Burt’s Bee Baby Bubble Bathis “99.8% natural” and “contains no phthalates, parabens, petrolatum, or SLS”. It has a wonderful subtle scent and produces enough bubbles to enjoy the bath.
Enjoy!
